{ 2017 DALLIN S. DURFEE SQCOMIC.COM LONG AGO, BY A CHANCE MUTATION, A LIFE FORM FOUND ITSELF ABLE TO BREATH AIR. NO LONGER CONFINED TO THE OCEAN, IT HAD THOUGHTS ABOUT MOVING ONTO LAND. HER PARENTS OBJECTED. THEY WANTED HER TO TAKE OVER THE FAMILY BUSINESS. AND WHAT WOULD THE NEIGHBORS SAY? EVEN WITH THEIR SUPPORT, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A FRIGHTENING THING TO DO. SO MANY UNKNOWNS. STARTING OVER FROM SCRATCH. BUT SHE MUSTERED THE COURAGE, AND BEGAN HER ADVENTURE. EVENTUALLY HER DESCENDANTS MOVED INTO THE TREES, MOVED OUT OF THE TREES, INVENTED TOOLS AND LANGUAGE . . . . . . AND WERE GENERALLY BETTER OFF THAN WHAT SHE HAD LEFT BEHIND. SO, WHEN YOU'RE AFRAID TO TRY SOMETHING NEW, THINK OF THAT LIFE FORM. WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT HER? HAPPY 208 th , DARWIN!
